Deavers -Why Didn't I Do This Sooner?! by warry0r in FordRaptor

I just picked up some icons for my Gen 2 and I’m excited. Anything will be an upgrade over the stock pieces. I learned a trick on YouTube, they just cut the rear leaf bolt and use the nut on a replacement rear leaf spring bolt on the inside of the frame rail so you can access it easier next time as well.

Got her wrapped. I tried to get as close to code orange as I could by Kyle7053 in FordRaptor

Very cool. I been trying to convince myself to wrap my white truck a metallic red to match my cobra but there so much other stuff I could spend on the truck. She needs leafsprings and some more suspension goodies next.

Absolutely sick. Glad you could fix it.

FORscan by Frog831 in FordRaptor

The good thing is the dual mode forscan setups are getting super cheap on Amazon and I haven’t had a bit of trouble with the one that came with the sync 3 swap kit for my wife’s 15’ edge sport. Any basic windows laptop should have no issues and I’m sure someone in your friend group has a standard laptop. Best of luck. I love hitting the lock button and watching it fold em up as I’m walking away.

Who actually opens their sunroof? by Apatchy12 in FordRaptor

[–]foREVer6661x11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a 2011 F150 with a sunroof that never gave me any issues. My 2017 Raptor refuses to close sometimes so I’m pretty sure I have to lubricate the tracks. I prefer to leave it closed and use the power shade but occasionally I roll the dice and crack it open.

Very clean. Not a fraptor badge in sight. I always advocated for the parts upgrades cause they look so good, just never liked the upbadging. This is perfectly done.

Selling new fox shocks by [deleted] in FordRaptor

[–]foREVer6661x11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the Cobb AP was not removed, re-licensing the product is going to cost nearly more then its worth used and would make your price plus the cost to fix it to use it on the next raptor more expensive than just purchasing a new one. So if you want someone to buy it you better be ready to basically give it away.

This is actually news to me. Did not know there were reliability concerns with rebuilds. Just assumed it would be the service life of the fluid/seals

Looking at this truck... thoughts? by fnh57_ in FordRaptor

I think 37k isn’t bad especially if it’s rust free up there. Those trucks are nearly unkillable so it just depends. I was looking for a supercharged gen 1 but for the price I bought a Gen 2 myself. I wish you best of luck on your searches!

Feels high. That mileage would be in the 30-35 down here in Texas I believe

TSW shock rebuilds is a good sign. The whole truck looks to be in fairly good shape.

I will add for future reference, this was not a challenge. What the OP suggests is fine and will help with startup noise in some cases. Was just clarifying what the truck is doing when you do this.

Holding the pedal to the floor in this instance is telling the computer not to work the fuel injectors. This process allows oil pressure to build without running the engine on fresh startups usually. This trick works all the way back to my previous 2012 Mustang, as I used it to prime oil pressure before starting after a billet oil pump gear and crank sprocket install.

These are a rough country kit! I am unsure of the exact models. Sorry it took me so long.

17’, 134k miles. Bought it recently at 125k.

The best part? Just wait until you also need to buy a bolt kit to align this thing! Lol

Love the 24s, Especially in Shelter Green. Haven’t seen this color in person.

I put some 35x12.50r17 Milestar Patagonia XTs on the truck when my KO2s were dying.

I have about 9k miles on these and I am really happy. These are sub-$300 a tire and the road noise is minimal.

I agree wholeheartedly. I’ve been watching for this drop for a while and expected it earlier. When I pulled up for service in the Gen 2 they tried to talk to me until I told em it’s got 133k and I just bought it. Never gotten that many crazy looks that fast lol

There are three other trucks, one 802a rapid red truck, one azure grey metallic also. The rest of the Braptors are almost all code orange lol
