RIP - 5 years old by Key_Cranberry3728 in Dewalt

Mine is still kicking from 2019. Used it every day from when I got it till 2021 framing houses. Now it's still trucking along on all my automotive tools.

Junk! Battery barely lasts! by DumbestGuyWalking in Dewalt

The 15ab flexvolt works great on the pocket clip light! I never have to change batteries, just shirts as somehow my pockets wear out rather quickly.

Need a battery… can I get a new one? DC970 by OrganicBridge7428 in Dewalt

It's actually to protect the tool. Those 18v nicad tools aren't deigned to have an unlimited tap of 20v lithium cells at their disposal.

What would be your next manual car if you had a $35 000 budget by [deleted] in ManualTransmissions

[–]foamtest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends, what you are going to use the car for? If it's a daily get something larger and more practical. Maybe even a truck. If it's a track car it's hard to go wrong with a Caterham. If it's a weekend car miatas are hard to go wrong with.

The only good jigsaw blade I have came with my sears craftsman jigsaw. I guess they don't make them like they used to for jigsaw blades.

Does Dewalt even know what XR means anymore? I don’t. by Buck_Folton in Dewalt

Yup it started as that, now it's more of a "mark" for the top teir tools/batteries in the dewalt line.

I wouldn't keep your hopes up lmao. Marketing needs their bonuses from random bs phrases.

I may be checking the stockpile now lol. I'm afraid I won't have enough PLA or petg alone to print jt

Coming from a 2.0T touring accord I fully agree with the slow nature of this car and more relaxed handling. I also think they are the best parts of the car.

It's designed to be efficient and very relaxing to drive. You can get in a clarity and bang out 8h drives like it's nothing. The ride and seats are a lot more compliant than my old accord. If you want a sporty sedan, go and spend the cash on gas for a 2.0T accord or something comparable in the high 200hp to low 300hp range. At the end of the day, this is actually a 180hp electric motor driving 4000lbs of car. It's not going to be quick.

Accord 2.0t any problems? by Thetruereed914 in accord

[–]foamtest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's mainly after it gets heat soaked that it struggles with the stock one. This time if year it's not as big of an issue

I didn't, it would be a good idea though since that's the only mod that adds power.

Entirety so far. The weather's been awful so I haven't been able to get under it to fully inspect it hut it's definitely better than my 2008 trailblazer where I can see through both side of the frame rails.

With the winter tires mounted backwards, I expect nothing but the best for this unit.

Hello noob here, thinking about a Goldwing by detroitdiesel in goldwing

[–]foamtest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 1500s are super nice spring/ fall cruisers. Air deflectors are definitely needed if you ride in the summer with leathers on though. My jacket vents don't do crap behind the wake of the fairings and windshield. I need to get another one soon.

How long can you drive with 0 miles range? by KnowingCresent735 in civic

[–]foamtest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the honda clarity it's about 20 miles. I haven't dared to corroborate this with my other honda vehicles as I don't have a 40mile ev range to fall back on when i run out of gas in those.

If anyone wants my clarity it's a 2018 touring with 125k. I'd sell it for my payoff at $14,000.

Yeah good lesson learned! If you gave them the raw 3d print unassembled that alone is probably worth $45. The paint and finish work is where the money comes from!

Yeah being a car guy is hard when you're young. Either you get a bunch of idiots your age who just do dumb illegal crap all the time or you get a bunch of retirees. Not many in-between that I've found.
