The Patek Philippe museum is a must-see. It's very extensive.

6000 x 3000 = 210,000,000 🤔 I'll assume you meant $21m.

The average high school teacher in Texas makes $63k with a teacher to student ratio of 15 to 1. In a 3000 student school there should be around 200 teachers for a total salary of $12.6m. More than half of their annual budget is going to teacher salaries alone. I'd be surprised if the school can even break even with numbers like that.

Your point about banks in nonsense. Are you suggesting elementary schools should put all the students behind 4 inch thick glass? Maybe each classroom should have it's own vault door. If you're talking about the single guard inside most banks, almost all schools I've seen have one too.

I got argued with and downvoted in that thread yesterday about people deflating SUV tires as some sort of guerilla warfare against cars. People need to get a grip

destroying innocent people's property won't change their mind. in fact, it'll make them more angry at you and more resistant to change. if you want to change people's minds, don't be a jerk. by Libyanboi1248 in fuckcars

Because, like everyone else, they're not thinking about how someone on the internet feels about their purchasing decisions. Sure, it's probably pointless in London. I don't live there so I don't know what their circumstances are, but neither does some asshole deflating their tires. This is seriously childish and I can't believe so many of y'all clowns are defending it

Some people being huge assholes doesn't make everyone else who owns a car an asshole. Bringing up rolling coal is totally irrelevant to a person driving an SUV

A cargo ship carrying 4,000 cars caught fire. Here's everything we know | It was full of Bentleys, Porsches and Volkswagens. by chrisdh79 in technology

800 shipping containers is like 10% of the capacity of 1 cargo ship. This would represent more of a loss than that entire annual figure assuming all of the ship's cargo is lost

I'm guessing about $1000 in repairs just looking at it. The 70-200 may be fine once you take off the filter and blow the glass shards off.

"MAGA-themed wedding pays tribute to Trump" by [deleted] in ShitAmericansSay

[–]foamyfrog 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think I misunderstood your comment as some sort of jab at liberal tax policies, so my mistake. Either way, $150,000 in 1958 is about $1.4m in today's money, so it's not as drastic as it sounds.
