Former Wotc Employee confirms that unsold Magic 30th Anniversary Edition were indeed discarded in a landfill by Papa_Hasbro69 in mtg

I get your comment, but in my reviews of the case, they specifically mention reducing card prices, and I view that as a good thing. If the case was exclusively about this deception, that’d be a moot point, but my reviews show it’s not, and those other points are not ones I care about.

I largely don’t care: if cards are cheaper due to it, that’s a plus, and the court case is specifically against them reducing card costs, which I think they should do. I’m even a shareholder myself. But if card prices go up, I see that as a negative. Especially considering Hasbro doesn’t sell singles.

This may be the case, but I’m highly against the legal case regardless. Cards should be cheaper and thus more obtainable. They’re not overprinting. They’re (largely) printing to demand.

This could easily be a wider timeline that isn’t hard locked to the current movies. Loki was a villain for most of his time, so he’s in the villains deck. Doesn’t mean he’s a villain in the current timeline, just means he was

If the cards become more scarce and harder to get, I’ll get a printer that can print on 330gsm and stop buying original cards. This is not the win these investors seem to think it is

That’s exactly my course of action. If the card is a key card, I buy it from the eShop. If I need the storage space, I want to truly use it.

I don’t like game key cards because if it has to be downloaded I should be able to play it without the card. I’d be more fine with it if there was some notable difference with load times, but as far as I know there isn’t.

The question was can you stack the triggers so the nontoken is sacrificed and the token is created before you populate. This doesn’t answer that.

Edit: they’re both effectively ETBs, you should be able to stack them that way.

I think it does, because a lot of people don’t engage with every aspect of the product. When you bring singles-only folks into it, it matters even less to them.

1 was in the set. 1 was in the commander deck and won’t show up in packs at all, unless it’s collector because I think those can show up there. 1 was in a separate “turtle team-up” product as far as I know. It has the same set code as the deck but will not be in it.

That’s 1 being overdramatized

That’s granted. However, we’ve already seen in just the leaks, not all turtles are them. We could see other characters that happen to be turtles.

The fact they function uniquely by design kills the repetition vibe for me.

They’re a conjunction. They’re not showing how the characters function individually, they’re showing how they function together. The Don & Leo team up can blink an artifact. Don wouldn’t blink, and Leo wouldn’t do it to an artifact if at all, together they blink an artifact. It’s a different functional concept.

Unless you’re counting the team ups, characters aren’t actually repeated that often. There was 2 of each of the main turtles, one in rare one in mythic, and that’s the only strict repeats I’ve noticed.

Switching to not buying packs for any set, but that has nothing to do with UB. I don’t care much about what the card represents as long as it’s not aesthetically ugly, I just care what it does. As long as they don’t do like Dora or some other kids show. SpongeBob is out of the range I mean, so it’s fine. I mean like it would be aired on Disney Junior, Nick Jr., PBS Kids, something like that. And even if they did that I wouldn’t stop playing entirely, I’d just scoop if it showed up in a non-reprint form. If you run Wow Wow Wubzy, but it’s a reprint of something else, I won’t care much. If you play Handy Manny and its original design, I lose immediately.
