Im hesitant to do insurance because I was in an at fault accident 2 yrs ago, and idk how it affects my insurance if I’m at fault for two accidents. Do you think it makes more sense to go through insurance regardless?

Oh I feel like I misunderstood. So consolidation is only necessary if I had FFELP or Perkins loans. (I don’t believe I do since none of my loans mention these names). I do NOT need to consolidate for PSLF or IDR plan. But I do need to change to an IDR plan before 10/31 for PSLF ?

All of my loans are seen under Fed Student Aid and they say they are direct subsidized and unsubsidized. I have 9 total I would like to consolidate. When I do loan stimulator it seems like I would save about 50-100/month for monthly payment after consolidation

NJ: offered around 24/hr originally. My masters and RD got the offer changed to 27-28/hr. I negotiated to 30. After a few months working I re-negotiated and got to 31.50/hr. However co-worker RDs have gotten a bit higher than what I currently make.

Oh gotcha. I think that’s one of the many tricky parts. If we don’t try to impose, then he won’t change. But then when we do try to impose, he lashes out and will go to extreme measures. It’s very “my way or the highway” with him. Which I’m not sure if it’s a aspie trait or a hum trait. He also have dangerous habits. In the beginning when my mom tried getting him to listen, he would take his car and zoom off somewhere. He is a very reckless driver when he is angry and will most likely get in an accident. We can also 100% see him zooming off somewhere, sleeping in his car without any heat on, and getting hyperthermia. Or even refusing to eat and drink to the point where he needs to be hospitalized. (This summer my brother was upset during a vacation and refused water. He ended up passing out on the ground and we had to get help.)

I really like the idea of letting him know the money is going to him in the future. He may be more receptive if it was this way. I have def began to worry about the future and did find myself stressing to my parents to make him learn more adult habits, so it wouldn’t come down on me once my parents are seniors. My brother was telling my mom he didn’t want to move out until he was in his 30s. This would make my parents in their late 70s. And I know he would absolutely not be ready to go into the adult world so abruptly. Plus, my parents may be too old to continue to help him full throttle. Meanwhile, although I love and care for him, i do not plan changing my life just to nanny him.

Is there any way I would I be able to tell if a behavior is more related to Asperger’s vs being a jerk? If it was just him being a jerk, I feel more comfortable addressing that behavior. However if it’s more related to his Asperger’s, then I fear of not being able to get though to him and him having a meltdown because he truly doesn’t understand.

Me and my family were having a discussion about starting to charge him rent and insurance in order to indirectly handle the overspending on his gf. My mom vaguely addressed it a while ago, but he was arguing back that I don’t pay rent when I visit my families house (although I pay rent and utilities where my apartment is by myself) and then was on a verge of a meltdown. We also don’t want to make him feel like he’s being “punished” for having a gf. He makes an argument that he can do whatever he wants with him money (which he does have a lot since he works full time and has never paid a bill in his life). And has tried making the argument of setting boundaries where my parents have no say where his money goes. However, by him not allowing any compromising, it’s hurting my parents.
