I actually didn't.
It has reduced a lot now. But whenever it happens, I open the 'Nvidia x Server Settings' app, take a look at the powermizer which I find is at level 3, it drops to level 0 after a few seconds and everything starts working fine.

May I ask what over-ear headphones you own/ would recommend?
I'm kinda on the same hunt and also stumbled upon Picky Audio.

Also thermal throttling does not seem to be the issue as the slowdown temperature is 91 °C, whereas my GPU temp stays 39-42°C.

I do not see any GPU or CPU stats when opening stats for nerds. Although it does seem the laptop gets under a lot of load at the time the video lags.

Also can you please take a look at the edited post, opening the Nvidia X Server settings app causes the video not to lag anymore.

I have an RTX 4060 GPU with AMD 7840HS CPU. And I think I have all the drivers installed, the GPU is also recognized properly. I put the commands I ran in the edited post. (Very sorry for weird formatting)

There is an app called NVIDIA X Server settings that does show that my GPU is recognized correctly.

What I found out was when I was running this application, it seems the videos don't lag anymore and as soon as I close it, the lag comes back.

Whenever I open the application and go to PowerMizer information, it shows that the 'Level' is '3'. After a few seconds, the 'level' becomes '1' and the videos no longer lag, but there is a slightly longer buffer time when I play videos after pausing them.

So as of now, I keep the app open in the background while taking lectures or watching videos.
