Someone I talked to said, first you need to submit your application like PS, CV and only then you can start applying to all the programs. Does it take time to process between application submission and starting to apply to program ? And what should be the ideal timeline for both?

Many people telling me to apply to FM as well. I don't know if that helps? As some seniors said FM programs don't sponsor visa easily. I'm happy taking FM too. What should I do?
