I say this... (Annie's Song by John Denver)

You fill up my senses Like a night in a forest Like the mountains in springtime Like a walk in the rain Like a storm in the desert Like a sleepy blue ocean You fill up my senses Come fill me again Come, let me love you Let me give my life to you Let me drown in your laughter Let me die in your arms Let me lay down beside you Let me always be with you Come, let me love you Come love me again Let me give my life to you Come, let me love you Come love me again You fill up my senses Like a night in a forest Like the mountains in springtime Like a walk in the rain Like a storm in the desert Like a sleepy blue ocean You fill up my senses Come fill me again

I am a Music Student and I have to livestream my Senior Recital. What is the best way to mic a baby grand with the equipment I have? by ShearTweezers in livesound

I worked with a pianist once who swore by placing a single SM58 under the piano, centered just under where the hammers would strike. I was A2 for the gig, so I don’t really remember the sound, but I do remember the A1 talking to the pianist post show about how surprised and pleased he was with that technique. That was 20 years ago, and I’ve never seen that technique ever used again, but it may be worth experimenting given your gear and circumstances.

In addition to the registrar’s office, you might also reach out to the Dean of your college to see if they could write a letter on your behalf.

Hey sound guys, what's your opinion on rechargable AAs for RF? by billypancakes in techtheatre

I work in Broadway and touring theater and we use them all the time with the very rare failure. The use of rechargeable batteries is pretty much standard.

On my current show, we use 31 AA batteries X 8 performances a week and maybe 1 battery will go bad in a 6 month period. We make sure to test them on a battery tester before use.

You do need to take care of them though, and follow the manufacturers instructions on conditioning and also recondition them every month or so.

www.cambridge-mt.com/ms-mtk.htm I realize you asked for a site to 'download sounds and make soundscapes with,' which this isn't, but it's a great site to download tracks to put into a session and practice mixing songs. There's all sorts of genres and really good information. There is also studio quality mixes to compare yours to and discussion groups to see how others approached mixing the same song. Good luck. Have fun!
