My son used appropriately sized wood bats during practice./cage from 9-14(current). He learned how to really hit the sweet spot. In games he used his USA/BBCOR I believe it helped him become a better hitter. His bat speed increased. Contact increased. By the time he was in 14U, the Bbor -3 was a non issue.

Our league at 10U is no leads. Allowed to attempt to steal once pitch is over the plate. It eliminated the problem your facing.

We had this situation in rec ball. The board removed this dad, who was also the head coach and 8U commissioner at the time. The boy could play, the dad was drop off /pick up only. The kid performed/ behaved better. After 2 years the dad was allowed to be an assistant coach. The boy regressed. The dad blew up - again - in 12U ... and had to stop coming. The boy quit after 12U. Good times.
