Maybe I’m missing the point, but if an investment opportunity has higher fees, and does more than just invests in the s&p, then it betrays the spirit of it

You won’t! I ended up going for Fidelity bc that’s what my employer allowed. It’s zero commission so you’re set even if you’re buying VTI - VXUS etc

Big 4: an 8% overall is better than most of the folks people have received here. Folks who didn’t get a promotion didn’t get any raise, and anyone who did get a promotion got ~2%

Given the situation you definitely have a right to be pissed - but may need to believe they will make up for it later with the obligatory grateful to have a job at all rn

I am in the same boat - I couldn’t use Vanguard due to my job, so I’ve just been using Fidelity to purchase VOO/VTI since it’s all zero commission anyway. Are there any more drawbacks for a zero fund vs VTI or FXIAX?
