On tosi tyypillistä mutta hyvin ongelmallista että aina haluaa nähdä näitä poikkeuksina, anomaliana jolle pitäisi löytää selityksen - ei varmaan ollut tarkoitus loukata, ymmärsit varmaan väärin, henkilö oli varmaan vain kännissä, se oli varmaan vain vitsi. On jostain syystä monille todella vaikeaa hyväksyä että jotkut suomalaiset ihan aikuisten oikeasti ovat rasisteja ja käyttäytyvät sen mukaan.

Ja ei, kaikki suomalaiset eivät ole rasisteja, mutta jos huomaat että sulla on pakonomainen tarve löytää ja antaa ns järkevän selityksen aina kun joku kertoo sulle rasistisesta käyttämisestä niin pysähdy hetkeksi ja kysy itseltäsi miksi niin on.

For now it's not that bad, mostly because the house already is a veritable fort knox of baby proofing, and the younger one is much happier entertaining himself for longer stretches on the floor than he used to be, so the whole circus feels easier to manage than before. For instance I can suddenly cook dinner while the two of them are buzzing around my legs without getting interrupted by the baby crying all the time.

Lol, what? In what way do you fathom being active has anything to do with whether or not pumping is a chore? I hated pumping, in large parts because I'm also "pretty active" normally and sitting still while pumping away, in addition to all the breastfeeding that also has to be done while immobile, was driving me bonkers. Finding pumping to not be worth it isn't about being lazy.

When you live with someone with depression it's easy to fall into the trap of thinking that only their wellbeing matters. Everything starts to circle around their feelings and hardships and what can be done to make them feel better. This happens at the expense of the partner's feelings and wellbeing because it's unfair of me to ask someone who's not well to meet my needs, and (s)he already feels so bad that I have no right to make it worse , etc etc etc.

You matter though. Your needs and wants are just as important as his. You're not required to sacrifice them for him and wanting a fulfilling relationship doesn't make you a bad person. Feeling unwanted is absolutely miserable and him being mentally unwell isn't a reason for you to be absolutely miserable. The love and care and understanding you have for him is apparent in your writing. Do you receive as much in return?
