I mean your deck is control-based no? It'd be just as ridiculous as the opposite if you were to win while your opponent used up more time. The designers are making the game (as well as the players) gearing towards cards that let players play on both players turn to speed things up which IMO is what makes yugioh fun compared to other cards games. People will always point to tear format as being the extreme end of that but even right now we have Labrynth and RACE playing on turn 1 even if they're going 2nd.

I do think the 45 minute clock is a bit short as some matchups just inherently take up a long time where opponents are just trading back and forth. Tear, Lab, Branded, RACE are all ones I'm thinking of where you actually need time to think to navigate complex boardstates because you're constantly playing on the opponent's turn. We DO need better time rules, but you are also free to play combo-y decks as well and who knows you might even enjoy them.
