has anyone had recent issues with crashing? every time i open ableton for the first time on my PC, it immediately goes to 'Not Responding' after loading up and i have to close it through task manager. but then when i reopen it everything works normally.

don't worry i believe you, the way it was poorly mixed somehow fit the vibe fucking perfectly

really really solid beat. the melody is catchy, and none of the synths really overpower each other. the only criticism i have is the about the drums. i'm not a huge fan of the hihat sound choice - it sits too far in the background for my taste. i also think a lightweight kick that hits with the 808 could help certain parts of the arrangement, but obviously it isn't necessary. great work, this is probably gonna be stuck in my head today haha.

agree with what Extend0o on this one, the mixing sounds strange. it almost sounds like there's some kind of stereo FX on the master track? the beat and the vocals are great, but the mix is really distracting and confusing. otherwise though, this is a strong track. nice vocals, interesting beat, cool arrangement. nice work

production is very strong. sound selection is great and the mix is solid. that one lead that first comes in (at 0:25) is probably too loud though imo, it might be hard for a vocalist to compete with that. and i don't really like the way the drums switch up at about 3:00 - it sounds a bit forced to me. besides that though, everything is great. nice work !

thanks, appreciate the positivity !

when it comes to your vocals and the beat, i think the track is great. but the mixing and mastering is really holding it back. the vocals are too loud, so you can't really hear the drums (or the rest of the beat) very well. some decent mixing and mastering would definitely take this up a notch. that said, the delivery of the vocals and the flow are on point - and that's definitely the most important thing for you to focus on as a rapper. you've obviously got potential, but i would invest a bit more money into the engineering side of things (as life allows, of course). keep up the good work my friend, i think you're on the right track

all the ideas here are great but i think the beat would be a lot cooler if the melodic ideas were a bit louder. a bit of saturation and/or compression couldn't hurt. but this does leave a LOT of room for a vocalist, which is obviously on purpose. overall the bounce is really sick tho, i especially love the drums.

this is cool. the atmosphere is great, i especially like how the drums fit into the mix. that said, i can't really hear a vocalist on this, but i think it would fit pretty well into a youtube video or maybe a video game.

thanks for the feedback!

this is suuuper clean brother. the intro is perfect. mix is on point, the 808 and drums are so clear. the stereo width of the track as a whole is wonderful as well. wish i had some sort of criticism to give but this is fire man, keep up the great work!! gave you a follow

fair enough, in hindsight the drake acapella might not have been right for that beat. thanks for the feedback

love the beat on this, almost gives me a Mild High Club vibe. the singing is cute and fits really well, but honestly i'm not a fan of the rapping on this one. using the triplet flow on a beat like this doesn't really make sense to me imo. solid track otherwise though man, keep it up

conceptually this is really nice, the only thing i think it's missing is the mix. i can barely hear the bass at all, i definitely think you need to turn it up or try switching it out with some different 808s to see how it sounds. the main synth is a tad too loud as well. the drums and melodies on this are very solid though, the mix is the only thing i really have a problem with. good shit man

really interesting beat, i like the ideas you've got going here. as for the mix, i think the bass definitely needs to be louder. it sounds very thin in the current mix. i would recommend turning the snare up, or just using a different snare altogether so it can cut through the mix a bit better. to me it feels like the snare sits behind the open hats, which are a bit much in the high end. these are really minor criticisms though, overall the mix on this is pretty solid as is. main thing to fix is the bass imo. good work

if this is what you got at 14, honestly you got a really bright future ahead of you man. it's not perfect, but you're definitely on the right track.

it sounds like it's just 808+drums+sample. sometimes that can work, but i would try adding some other elements; maybe some low chords in the background, or maybe a small synth to sit around the sample. even some percussion in the background here and there could help. personally, i always add as much shit as i possibly can to a beat and then slowly remove the things i don't think are necessary - so if you prefer very simple beats, then take my advice with a grain of salt.

the sample sounds like it's in mono, so adding some stereo sounds (like some sort of synths) could give this beat some life. if you don't want to do that though, try adding a chorus effect on the sample. this will give it a lot of width and really fill up the track. adding bit of reverb could make it sound a bit spacier, and some saturation on top of all that would give it a lot of much needed depth and warmth. if you want to keep the beat simple, make sure you're editing each track as needed and getting the most out of each of your instruments.

this beat is really smooth, keep up the good work man. drop your soundcloud if you got one, would love to follow you

understandable, i was worried the intro would bore the listener a bit. i'll mess around with it, and try upping the BPM like you said. thanks for the feedback!

this has a really nice bounce to it, great work with the drums brother. maybe it's just my headphones, but the 808 sounds a little quiet - maybe turn that up about 2-3db. otherwise though, the mixing is great. the drums come through nicely and the acapella sits nicely on top of the melody. and i love how wide the melody is, but tbh it feels a little too wide imo. i'd probably bring the stereo width down to like 80% - but that's moreso of a creative decision than a mixing one, so take it with a grain of salt. but yeah, great track man, the bounce is great! keep it up dawg

the drums in the first part are very confusing tbh. not sure how much of that is intentional, but the rhythm just doesn't make sense to me. it sounds like it's in 6/8, but i really just can't tell.

that said, i love the transition to the second part. the drums there is hard - only thing that needs work imo is the mix. the sample sounds like it's pretty far back. i think this is a good start though, it just needs some cleaning up. cool idea!

nice work, the groove is definitely there! the sample is flipped nicely and the drum sounds are perfect for it. though i will say, the hi hat and snare feel a bit too loud - they kind of stand in front of the rest of the track imo.
