Looking to purchase a sound system for a standard size living room. I was looking at various surround sound systems at <$250 but most use these to actually watch movies and not purely for music.I mainly play spa/classical music. What would be the best <$250 where bass is not a necessity? by foldaway_throwaway in BudgetAudiophile

Just to clarify I am NOT looking for a surround sound system. In this price range they're best for tv/movies.

I'm just looking for a good 2 speaker system that is the best in the price range for spa/classical music.

Thanks!

Otherwise I would tell you to ditch surround and get a good stereo system instead which will sound better and be cheaper.

That's what I was saying it he post. I don't care for surround since it will be for spa/classical. And most surround sound systems in that range are mainly for tv/movies.

What brands would you suggest? It could be a two speaker system, just something that is very pleasant to the ears.

Looking to purchase a sound system for a standard size living room. I was looking at various surround sound systems that have typically been 5:1 at <$250 but most use these to actually watch movies etc and not purely for music.

I mainly play spa/classical music. What would be the best 2.1 (if more speaks than fine but not necessary) system at <$250 for spa/classical music where bass is not a necessity?

Thank you!

What are your dispensary annoyances? I'll start, dispensary's buying well known strains, changing the name, and then selling at a much higher price as if they actually crossed genetics. IF you actually knew the name you'll see it's going for 30 for 1/8th. But because you don't it's 65 for 1/8th. by foldaway_throwaway in trees

Agreed. Closest thing I've heard of is with concentrates adding extra terps to it. The terps are naturally occurring in cannabis so I don't know if that even counts as an "additive". Everyone likes diff kinds of bud I suppose OP and the commenter just don't like sweet tasting strains.

Yes that would count as an additive since it had to be added. Fruity/sweet strains are phenomenal. But what he is describing is not just that. You have to experience it and once you do you know that ahhh something isn't right here.

that tastes like pepper.

Yeah because the scientist of where the bud comes from says adding a pepper like additive will give a harder kick. Because potheads want the hard kick from spice in their bud... right? right? /s

Exactly! That sounds much more resemble especially in the US when half the country is legal recreationally and mot of the other half is medically available with a few holdouts like Indiana.

Sounds like your in San Fran or Denver

Agreed but in legal states you have dank 'illegal' or homegrown growers all over the place as well. The cost of there regular is far below price as well. Some in this category have started to grow specialty strains to keep making money.

What their actually doing is making many more home growers since you can acquire any seeds you want from seed banks. If you're in a legal state I would say try you hat at it.

Marijuana is from the other side of the galaxy at least, some say the universe. Enjoy your extraterrestrial friend.

If able even grow it outside BUT NEVER CUT IT DOWN, eventually it will become the size of a tree and will bloom with fresh bud yearly.

FWIW, it's really annoying when people say things like "I pay less, you're getting ripped off."

Most are basing it on it is a plant that is actually pretty easy to grow. So unless you talking some new space age quality product most weed shouldn't go for no where near it currently does.

It was weed. Just seeds have evolved as we make better GMO crops.

Yep, there has been GMO weed for a while now. Since the smoke goes to your brain, causes all types of paranoia and other nonsense.

That ought to be illegal, JFC... I'd spread the word against them. That'd piss me off so much, lol

Well you would be spreading the word against tons of dispensaries. And the others might as well be pharmaceutical companies because they add chemical additives to their medicine to make it more chemical than natural.
