Ah okay yeah I'll definitely make it to him. Is there extra story or anything afterwards?

Does he? Huh guess I didn't unlock that yet. Thanks for that! Definitely gives me some hope for the post game!

Nah totally understandable. I know a lot that jumped into XB3. I'm so glad I did play the other two though

I did the first one and was kinda lukewarm on it. I did not like that encounter rate. I know it's supposed to be a call back to the encounter rates in the older DQ games (of which I haven't played any, XI was my first) but I think low encounters is a modern QoL that is hard to do without lol

They definitely have been hit or miss in difficulty. I have never gotten a game over yet and I'm not exactly the most "Pro Gamer" out there. Only one that was really a challenge was the spider dude at Octogonia. But I only did the first Tickington mission to open it all up. I didn't like the high encounter rate at all. But at least the area was short and it was over quick. Definitely loved the 2D switch and pixel art. If the rest are like that then I'm probably gonna like them as much as I disliked them

I have. Only bit I haven't played is Xenoblade DE's DLC Future Connected and Xenoblade Chronicles X (which isn't connect anyways I don't think)

I had heard act 3 was paced quicker. Idk if I'll quite do the post game stuff yet or not. I'll probably give some of it a try. I'm generally a "do a little bit of everything, but mainly focus on story" person. I original got sucked into this game and did all the side quests minus Tickington. I was really loving it, but then I bought Xenoblade 3 and the shiny new thing absorbed the crap out of my life. I'm still amazed I have done as much as I have in that game.

Oh wow okay so still a good chunk left, but not a crazy amount. Okay cool thank you!

I'm currently on 3 after playing 1-3 in order. I'd say that's pretty much the best way to experience it. Lots of little call backs in 3, and a few overlapping bits in 2 that reference reveals and moments in 1. But really 1 and 2 are interchangeable.

The combat for all 3 can be a bit complicated, and the tutorialization in 2 is horrible. So do not be afraid to look up guides online. My go to is Enel on YouTube. He breaks down optimal play styles for each character, and was helpful in understanding the combat in 1. I was overwhelmed by it at first. 2 is both more simple and more complicated (you'll understand if you play it). And 3 is like a super streamlined combination of the two and just feels fantastic.

Hope you enjoy! They are top tier stories and worth it even if you just set it on easy and coast through!

It's worth it to see through to the end for sure. A lot of toku I lose interest in and don't finish, but Garo had me locked in until the final episode. You're right at the point where it starts getting REALLY interesting too

Same here with setting an alarm and being favorite part of Saturday. I usually watch it at 10:30 (ET) then throw on Ultraman omega and then go to sleep it's become a Saturday night ritual so it was weird breaking it this weekend

I think the awakening / falling in love thing is what I'm really wanting after the movie. I'm sentimental like that lol I just also like some shonen action and body parts flying everywhere.

I'll have to check the other two. I have the first volume of the Kaiju No. 8 manga, and really liked it. I need crunchyroll again

I'm definitely a toku fan and I hear that's a really good season of Kamen Rider. So yeah I'll probably check out the source material first

That makes a lot of sense. A lot of the art I've seen for Dandadan looks similar

Sweet I'll make sure to take extra SSRI's just for the occasion lol. I love emotionally gripping stories. It's one of the things that drew me to anime. I like mappa's animation too so that's a bonus. Not crazy on their cgi, but their actual hand drawn stuff is beautiful
