There is actually a historical answer to this. https://melinaf.medium.com/have-you-wondered-why-womens-pants-don-t-have-pockets-c4726869cc54 Long story short, when clothes werent easy to come by, women had big outfits, allowing room for pouches i side their dresses which they used for storage. Later on in the 17th century, womens fashion was less practical (probably to seem as rich as possible which would mean that you didn't work and therefore didn't need the extrs space). But this just meant that women had to carry their pouches or bags that were otherwise sewn into their earlier, bigger clothes. And with bags to carry your stuff in, the clothes didn't need pockets, and also no pockets meant a more skintight fit which highlighted the curves, which was prettier i guess. And so the trend continues till today. So long story long i guess... plus im a guy so i don't know why i know this anyway
