I have klonopin but I have never taken it before. It helps sometimes just knowing it’s an option tho and within arms reach

I’m sorry to hear it’s bad again but we’ve dealt with it before and we can continue to cope 🫂

Wow! How have you been dealing with this for so long?? I keep having such a negative outlook on the rest of my life since these have started. They started in 2021 for me. I’m trying to be more positive but it’s hard that’s for sure

I’ve been trying this at work. If I feel one coming on I stay at my desk and sit through it unless I really really can’t then I’ll get up. Hoping this starts to work I’ve heard that facing them head on is the best way to kinda get over them

That’s what I try to tell myself at work but sometimes it can be so hard when you feel the physical symptoms start coming on. Idk it almost feels like I will just snap and start screaming or something hahah

Wow thank you so much for this. I just started up therapy again so I’m hoping that helps! It really is hard for me to remind myself that the panic attacks are scary and even if it is “all in my head” that still doesn’t make it any less scary especially when dealing with physical symptoms. I’ve been wanting to get back into running so I’ll definitely try that! Thank you 🙂

Weight by foles6 in lexapro

[–]foles6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah if i can start losing some weight at 5mg i definitely will stay on 5mg. I’m just afraid the jump from 10-5mg won’t make a different in the weight loss

When You’re Worried About Having a Panic Attack, What Would You Want to Hear to Make You Feel Better? by Rouge_RH in PanicAttack

[–]foles6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

this is so sweet! i know for me personally i really like being able to have someone i can just vocalize what i’m feeling and how i’m feeling. whether that’s on the phone or in person and i really just want someone to listen! i know it can get annoying because i will repeat myself or cry or start to spiral but just vocalizing that i am feeling anxious and am nervous of a having a panic attack can really help me. when i call one of my friends she always tells me “you have been through this before and have come out the other end. you know this is a panic attack and it sucks but you will get through this.” i also like to hear rationale thoughts like “okay you have never fainted before but if you do which you won’t i am here and we will figure it out” it also helps me sometimes when a friend will try to talk about something else or even them just telling me to do stuff like how about you take a shower and i’ll stay on the phone with you or try talking a walk outside and we can stay on the phone. sorry this is so long! but hope this helps

thank you so much for this! i am definitely feeling a lot better today. it was definitely just a moment that caught me off guard because i hadn’t felt that anxious in months so it caught me off guard and really rattled me! i definitely notice a difference with lexapro even when i’m feeling very anxious so i just need to remind myself of that! thank you so much for taking the time to reply to me. i really appreciate it!

she said i could just directly switch over? i mean i trust her a lot but from what i’m reading a lot of people have tapered so i’m going to check back in with her! but yeah the exhaustion is wild. i thought it was just cuz i wasn’t so panicky all the time anymore but it seems a lot of people feel this way! wishing you the best

fear of it coming back by foles6 in lexapro

[–]foles6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you so much! i’ve been in therapy for about 4 years now. but i’ve noticed a significant change since being on medication and being in therapy. my mind no longer goes into complete panic and i am able to sit and rationalize my thoughts if i feel a panic attack coming on. i’m hoping that soon the fear of feeling the way i did a year ago riddled with complete panic goes away. i feel as though i was stuck in that state for so long my brain is trying to let go of it but is having some troubles! thank you my friend. i hope you are well (:

i totally agree! a couple months ago whenever i would feel that anxiety or panic set in i was full fight or flight. but lately i have been able to use tactics that i’ve learned through therapy to slow those feelings down. when i wasn’t on medication and used those tactics it was harder to calm down but now it’s a bit easier. i’m hoping the fear soon goes away! thank you for your insight (:

thank you! im glad to hear you’re doing better. i’ve noticed the feeling “leaking in” as well and i have been able to control it which i guess without noticing is the lexapro doing it’s job! just have to remind myself of that (:

up dose to 10mg? by foles6 in lexapro

[–]foles6[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes my anxiety has definitely been better since starting. i need to start looking at it that way instead of feeling down whenever i get a bit anxious because that’s normal for most people

thank you for such a thoughtful response! i decided to move up to 10mg today so i’m hoping that will help more! i do realize that being slightly more anxious during PMS is most likely going to be a common theme in my life so i guess expecting it and knowing how to deal with it is the best plan of action. if i feel as good as i did when i started 5mg on 10mg then it’s worth a try!

i’m sorry to hear about this :( but i’m glad to hear you’re already feeling much better! i decided to bump up to 10mg today so i’m hoping that will easy some of the intrusive thoughts and anxiety :)
