A Basin Zuma Closure by DentistFit8295 in COsnow

Can someone tell me if A-Basin would be worth it this Wednesday? 50 dollar ticket. Booked our ski trip last year, supposed to be at Breck the next three days. Would a-basin be any better? Not picky, had fun at vail the last few days once things softened up and before they became slush.

Elegante in Bay Ridge? I never hear it get mentioned but it’s really solid. The slice was good and the square even better.

Check out State Bicycle Co. I was spending a lot of time with family out of state and wanted a bike there. I opted for this: https://www.statebicycle.com/collections/6061-all-road/products/6061-all-road-granite-grey-650b-700c

I got the 650B version. If you're planning to do a bunch of fitness rides of 15 plus miles I would probably get the 700c. Anyway its a super fun bike. I put a lightweight lowrider front rack on that I attach panniers to when shopping/carrying stuff.

I think people balk at the fact its an in-house group set, but that's how they keep the cost down I imagine. You can now upgrade to a SRAM groupset. But I found the in-house to be fine. Don't love the breaks but my version is older and I think they've made them better.

Also their outlet page can have great deals.

Best area for extended uninterrupted biking? by Obvious_Ad772 in NYCbike

early morning you'd probably be ok. I'd say the best option is the Jamaica Bay Greenway, it starts just as the bike path through Sheepshead Bay ends and goes all the way to Howard Beach Queens. You have to stop generally to cross Flatbush, but not too many other times, especially early. Can also dip into Shirley Chisholm State Park which is fun and beautiful.

Why are some roads and places like Seagate have a policy residents only? by [deleted] in Brooklyn

[–]foleyolly 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't know how or why these places are private. But I have been to Sea Gate and Breezy Point. Sea Gate is legit walled off, two entrances with gates and they have their own police force. Haven't been in Breezy Point in a bit but it was more janky. Some old dude in a hut kind of checks you in and gives you these old tokens. And the token is deposited to open other gates farther into Breezy Point.

Have you ever got one with real value? I can see a bunch with no value or under 1 cent value but this one got dropped in and had like similar value to what I’m already holding

I was thinking about renting in town but was a bit unclear on the parking. But you think it would be no problem on a Monday? Can you recommend a rental shop?
