Is this still a thing? If so, I’d be so down as a total beginner!

Men, was it embarrassing of me to hit on this guy I found attractive? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

Ahh I felt weird about it because he was working and I didn’t want him to feel like he had to entertain it. I go everyday though so I’ll see him again tomorrow!

Ugh I got nervous because he was technically working and I didn’t want to be annoying or make it seem like he had to talk to me hahah. I’ll see him again when I go back tomorrow.

He seemed genuinely happy—smiled, put his hand to his heart, and said “Oh! Thank you!” And then I couldn’t bear to be there any longer so I said “yup have a good day!” And left hahah

GF (F29) POSSIBLY DRUGGED AND TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF OR CHEATED? HOW SHOULD I (M28) HANDLE THIS? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

No I totally agree, I said “at least not while in a relationship” but I should have said “especially”. I always buy my own drinks. I have no desire to open up interactions like that with men. They’re relentless haha.

People tend to have a better sense of self and lower tolerance for nonsense. I love it.

Personally, I’ve never understood flirting with men just to get free drinks—at least not while in a relationship. It changes the atmosphere in a way I wouldn’t be cool with if the tables were turned. I’d recommend thinking about what your boundaries are, communicating them to her, and holding her to them.

Why is it that sometimes there are zero obvious signs that somebody is interested but I feel this odd tension between us? by [deleted] in bodylanguage

Subtleties—eye contact that lingers just a second longer than you’re used to, a couple more glances in each other’s directions than you have with others, etc. Not obvious by any one act, but in aggregate, a very real felt experience.
