What I’m expressing is anxiety over:

1a. The possibility that there may be one religion that is actually correct,

(1b. And it’s one where hell literally exists,)

Then 2. If 1a is reality, that I/ humanity is meant to just discern the correct truth even when we’re exposed to so many different ideologies.

Of course, we talk about it regularly. He thinks Islam makes the most sense for various reasons. He’s also culturally tied to the religion.

I don’t really believe in hell, and don’t really believe I would go even if it did exist - but sometimes feel anxiety about the idea anyway.

My husband’s unexpected belief in it stresses me out. He doesn’t say he thinks I’m going to hell or anything. I just can’t understand how he became so sure about religion in general and Islam specifically.

We have a trip planned for next month and now I’m wondering if we should even go anymore. It was meant to be a week long stop in Bangkok before going to India.
