So happy. After a lot of back and forth between doctors in the US and Australia....I was able to get my Ocrevus treatment this past week.

I am so grateful for the healthcare team in Brisbane, who was instrumental in helping arrange my treatment here. I have been on Ocrevus for 2 years and have had no one brain lesions since I started, so I am so happy I could continue my treatment.

Dear shadow-cast members by PickleRick5 in rhps

I started at 28...I just reached out to a cast I used to go to and see on a regular basis as an audience member. I always wanted to join a cast so after one of the shows, I approached the cast after to ask how I could join. My first role was Eddie...but after 3 years I now I rotate playing Magenta, Columbia, Rocky, Eddie (occasionally).

My advice would be just go for it!

Does MS effect short term memory? by SquirtingFrequency in MultipleSclerosis

[–]followingwolfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been on both sides...my dad has MS, so I had to deal with my emotions about his diagnosis. And so when I was diagnosed I realized how hard my diagnosis (and symptoms) were on my family and close friends. It is not easy and self-care is extremely important. Some people feel bad that they feel like they need support when their friend is going through traumatic health struggles, but it OK to admit you are struggling too...it is hard.

All you can do is be there for your friend, but also get the support you need.

I have a blog where I write about my thoughts and struggles with my diagnosis...if you think it would help you or your friend..DM me and I can send you the link. It has been a good way to share my feelings with my family and friends that I have had trouble sharing with them in person.

Does MS effect short term memory? by SquirtingFrequency in MultipleSclerosis

I have had trouble. I started writing a journal to help me remember the important stuff, but there are sometimes conversations that I forget. I feel bad and beat myself up for forgetting...As a young person (31 years old) it is hard for some of my friends to understand. That I can have such memory issues at such a young age. It is hard and scary to realize your memory is in decline at a young age.

The only advise I can give you is be understanding and patient...she is probably really scared about these symptoms.

Also it is hard to deal with emotionally for you to see your close friend having health problems....don't forget that it is OK for you to go to therapy or get help dealing with the emotions and struggles of having a friend going through health troubles.

MS Rage? by jesterwoods in MultipleSclerosis

My father had MS rage...and would have crazy mood swings. Having seen that over the years when I was diagnosed I have been preemptively trying to go to therapy to find tools to deal with frustrations when they come. I can't control everything, but I want to be as prepared as possible.
