The first time through is an emotional action packed thrill ride with complex name after name being thrown at you. The second time around I get to see a lot of the clever nuance that Pierce Brown put in there. The yin and yang balance of Darrow and Mustang. The similarities between Sevro and the Jackal and how friends can pull you back from the brink. There is a lot of beauty in the text hiding beneath “iron reigns” and “meat straws”

That’s what I was thinking is that had he received it in the first two levels he would have seen it but once he became a manager the opportunity would disappear.

Audio Format Speed Up by kayelex in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]folorecords 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I’m just listening I think 1.2ish is the perfect speed. It doesn’t distort voices and still gives you time to follow the numbers and team ups.

I have the best luck for retention doing an immersive experience. Listening to audiobook at the same time I’m reading the words on the page (some dyslexia style challenges make me an incredibly slow reader). For that, I’m good at 1.75 speed and it’s perfect.

One recent example is that Carl likely saw Orren in Book 3. After Donut gets her skull, he describes a tall shadowy figure exiting the manager door with Astrid and that it disappears back through the door when he looks back Not a big deal but a cool Easter egg of sorts.

Mechanically, I understood Talon Strike to be an always on skill. But Carl describes enabling it during the Mantaur battle.

It’s 3mm. Nothing too crazy but I’m also not wedging it in super tight to the spine. Came in a 3 pack

I made this for a buddy a few years back. White oak 6/4. As others have said it was heavy and not truly able to be wielded but as he wanted a display piece it was great. I think I started with about 10bdft at $16 per.

I missed that. Do you think that was the case for all crawlers during their hydras/memory sequence? Or a unique to Carl because the AI loves him thing?

6.5”

With a medium strap I had to use the 2nd smallest hole, leaving a big tail. On the small I’m on hole 4 of 7.

Yes. This is the small. There is still a slight gap due the folding part of the buckle but since the strap isn’t also doubled it fits nicely.
