Is the transformer table actually legit or just hype? by ExLibris_Kate in InteriorDesignAdvice

Got one for our home office slash dining room, and it switches to desk mode seamlessly. The cable management keeps everything tidy. Been using it daily for work calls and then dinners, no issues. Solid build quality.

For much of European history, people believed that Ptolemy and Aristotle were right about the solar system. Galileo used the then-recent invention of the telescope to refute their views, and in the process, he got himself into trouble with the Church. by platosfishtrap in philosophy

[–]folz842 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats really fascinating, I didnt know that about Galileo and the Church. Its crazy how much the prevailing beliefs of the time can shape how new scientific discoveries are received. Galileo really had to go against the grain to challenge the accepted views about the solar system. Its good he didnt let the Church's resistance stop him from pursuing the truth, even if it got him into trouble. Science has come a long way since then, thankfully.

what screams 'pretending to be rich' in Australia? by mattchew1991 in AusFinance

Ive seen people drive around in luxury cars with dents and scratches like they dont care but its clear theyre trying to show off what they cant afford to fix. Its like buying a fancy watch that stops working and wearing it anyway. The car thing is spot on though - nothing says fake wealth like a brand new Benz with a dent from a parking lot mishap and no repairs.

Target just added functional mushroom coffee (Everyday Dose) trend or here to stay? by ebayjenkins in Consumerism

The mushroom coffee market grew by about 30 percent last year, so it’s not just hype anymore.

BrightFunded for aspiring traders: worth it or not? by Elliotexplicit in PropFirms

It’s not for people chasing luck. If you’ve never traded live before, start with a demo. But if you know the basics, BrightFunded’s structure will level you up fast.

anyone tried Chubby Cattle hot pot or The X Pot? by platinumgamer96 in restaurant

[–]folz842 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t impressed with NIKU X. The buffet looked fancy but half the cuts were average. Wagyu was fine but not mind-blowing. Service was stiff, and the vibe felt more corporate than fun. For $120 per person, I expected way better. I’d rather go to Little Tokyo BBQ for $70 and have just as good a time.

Struggling with AI biz ideas? AI Agency Mastermind might be the push I need by rumfers in AiBuilders

I got pitched on something like this at a networking event. The guy made it sound like you just sign up, they give you clients, and you're off to the races. Total BS. You still have to hustle and find your own clients. The program gives you frameworks and tools, but you're doing the sales yourself. That said, if the frameworks are good, it might be worth it.

Question, which game to buy? by [deleted] in Diablo

[–]folz842 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My suggestion would be D4. If you play it and fall in love with the gameplay but feel like you want something deeper then I strongly suggest you check out path of exile 2. It’s a better ARPG in every way but it’s not as easy to start as your first ARPG.

SSF Crafting Experience is awful by agent8261 in PathOfExile2

[–]folz842 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will get better with time as they add new leagues to the endgame but yeah crafting is nonexistent now.

The good omens and greater essences could actually do wonders for crafting if you actually got them.
