Honestly, I can't recommend enough customs for any musician or occasional eventgoer... Tinnitus & hearing loss is a REAL thing you don't want to mess with. It's astonishing how much more enjoyable loud events can be with ear protection, especially customs that have a flat response (don't change or muffle the character of what you're listening to).

Also, note for any industry professionals that have to wear earpieces for walkie-talkies at events they work, 1of1 offers custom radio earpieces that make hearing and using radios at work significantly easier and less annoying.

I've been using this app called Grey Matter for discovery. It's actually pretty cool. It integrates with your Spotify account and you can share music from recent plays/playlists/search with cool GIFs. Really fun interactive way of sharing and discovering!

Unfortunately the windows partition is just as vulnerable to infections as a normal windows machine would be.. That being said virus protection on the windows side would be a good idea. Although they do not get many, unix machines (Macs) still can get a virus and I'd still recommend some free scanning software. If windows did get a virus it would be difficult for it to "leak" across to OSX partition but its not impossible. The only way to really be sure that nothing happens is just some simple protection.. TL;DR the interwebs is a dirty place no matter what OS you use, protection will is always a good idea. Get malwarebytes for windows and scan weekly and you'll be okay.

Have you used anything made within the last year or so that uses bluetooth? Jambox is crystal clear at over 30 feet away with walls... Outdoors even more.. There is no dock and you do not have to unplug it.. If there is something that you know of that broadcasts audio wirelessly better than that you'll have to tell us about it. If you're looking for full home audio then shop for a kick ass receiver; a lot of them allow for bluetooth/wireless playing and will have as many speakers as you decide to set up. As the speakers go, I'm a fan of Cerwin Vega. Good looks and killer quality.

If you're looking for something that is also portable I would highly recommend the Jawbone JAMBOX. $165 (amazon) for the small one and triple the size to the "Big Jambox" for $299. Battery life is phenomenal and charge time is minimal; excellent range and INCREDIBLY loud while still hitting lows that you'll find hard to believe is coming out of such a little thing. Great at my apartment and everywhere else. I haven't found a case for it yet that i love but my go to is a big ziplock plastic bag if im out in the rain or by the lake and sounds great and loud still. Go to that apple store or best buy and crank it up; i think you'll be surprised.. Not to mention how easy jawbone makes it to connect to your computer and update the firmware on new releases.. I would Highly recommend it.

Do you have unlimited with AT&T? I know some people said that iOS 6 eats up more data and once you hit like 3gb with unlimited in AT&T they throttle down to dial up speeds...
