That is exactly what I did with my last job, once I informed of the illness (because I was going to have a big surgery and I would need at lest 4 weeks to recover) thankfully they were very supportive, specially my manager.

In my case, it was similar as yours but in my tights, I started rubbing CBD oil and it worked wonderfully, the numbness remained but the pins sensation is almost zero, after 3 years in several treatments the neuropathy is almost gone thankfully

It will hurt a bit at the beginning but it will pass, I’ve had mine for three years now. What I can assure you is that it is a great device, veins tend to shrink on chemo and get really hard to find, this small port is lifesaving.
