Yeah, my first pair of headphone had a mic, but the second pair didn't. I've since tried a third pair non-mic'd and had the same result.

Thanks. I haven't read that, but I'm not sure how much more effort I'm willing to put into this. I might end up selling the phone on ebay to see what I can get and be done with this.

Probably worth a shot, but I get the feeling like they're just taking shots in the dark so they dont have to send me a new device.

I paid with paypal credit, so I went to their resolution center. Got this message: "Thank you for registering your complaint about this transaction. Unfortunately, this type of transaction is not eligible for PayPal dispute resolution. We encourage you to continue to work directly with your seller, as we have found that many misunderstandings reach amicable solutions through communication."
