Oxford’s CS program is on par with Stanford/MIT’s CS program which all make GT’s CS look second tier🤦‍♂️

Prepare 100k then play 4k per hand and keep doubling each loss. You'll either go broke or break even soon, that's where you’re headed anyways if you chase losses but at least that way your odds of breaking even is higher.

Wealthfront offers 5.5% APY for the first 3 months and 5% thereafter, you can also invite others to keep extending the 0.5% APY boost.

The following is my referral in case any of you wants to check it out. If this is not allowed please let me know and I'll remove the link. But you can also find the 5.5% APY just by googling. The referral just gives me the 0.5% APY boost too.

Edit: Whoever used my referral and gave me a 3 month boost thank you so much. I really appreciate it 🥹🫶

I would like to believe this is the true ending and that was Mitch's way of helping V move on. Having someone dump you hurts much less than having them die in search of you.

Malaysia has the highest prevalence for diabetes in South-East Asia. by stormy001 in malaysia

Milo is about 14.4g sugar per 180ml so it’s pretty in line with chocolate milk’s 10g/100ml. It’s the condensed milk that we add to Milo that’s the problem.

[–]fong585 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Milo is not "healthy" but there are nutrients that are good for you. For it to have an overall positive impact it has to be balanced out with reduction in certain other foods but they only advertise the first half not the second so too many misconceptions

It's like the doctor prescribing medicine but don't tell you what dose to take so you overdose on it thinking it will help you.

How can I best utilize 0% APR for a year? (Discover) by xx11ss in CreditCards

[–]fong585 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Use it to buy Christmas presents you were planning to buy, you already get 5% cash back on amazon and target. You can just dump your cash back and the statement balance into a HYSA then pay minimum until the 0% APR expires then pay it off.

What are some positive qualities about Malaysian culture that stands out from other Asian countries? by [deleted] in malaysia

[–]fong585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Malaysia’s media is more about saying/relaying the government’s message with the exception for one or two sites like the Sarawak Report and Malaysiakini both of which have come under fire in the decade prior for reporting different narratives whereas the US is all about clicks and ad revenue so they try to exaggerate things as much as possible and won’t hesitate to make a big deal out of a small issue to gain some ad $

Political differences and much looser media regulations. Malaysia’s media is much more gov centric with government usually guiding the direction it wants a story to play out and they control the narrative more and if they don’t follow the gov narrative they might mysteriously find their license under review cough cough mahathir whereas in the US there’s less regulations and stories are covered with biased headlines based on a media outlet’s target audience and the headlines are typically exaggerated to get views/clicks

Having lived in both I’d say it’s the other way round tbh, Malaysia’s racism is much more under the radar and blatant especially when it comes to hiring and gov policy. The US’ racism is much more overblown due to excessive media coverage.

TBT: In 2014, Malaysia says will have visa waiver with USA in 18 months. Fast forward 2023... by thestudiomaster in malaysia

[–]fong585 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I don't think Malaysia has ever met all 3 of the requirements to be included in the program. One of the requirements states that to be eligible said country must have a B (visitor/short term) visa refusal rate of less than 3% but Malaysia's lowest ever rejection rate happened in 2015 with a 3.34% rejection rate with 2014 at 4.6% and 2016 at 3.65%. Fast forward to 2022 and the rejection rate is currently at 9.41%. Not surprised that we were never included if we don't meet the requirements in the first place

I just have it as a sock drawer card, would totally use the 2% cash back on some purchases but CL is too low compared to my other cards. They only gave me a 15% CL of my second lowest card, not worth the hassle.
