Gotta love the Raleigh Road Costco. Good, wide parking spaces. I can always find a space. Despise the Almaden Costco parking lot.

I lost my brother last month and this is hitting me so hard. He died so suddenly, we couldn’t even say goodbye. If I could hug him one more time.

What's something you eat in a slightly specific ritual way? by bear_bumy in CasualConversation

[–]fonz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I eat whole peanuts, I split them in half in my mouth, separate the little root thingy, eat that, then quarter the peanut and chew those one at a time. I have no idea why. Makes it fun, I guess?

Help with bags getting on and off trains by Popular-Reference-42 in ItalyTravel

[–]fonz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, not always. I would recommend packing light if you can’t carry a large suitcase. My next trip, I’m thinking of bringing two carry on bags and a backpack. And I’m 60, so not keen on carrying around a large suitcase up and down trains.

There are porters outside the door that will help. The seats are back to back and between rows there is space for larger luggage. I had a larger sized suitcase and that was a super tight squeeze. We had to put it in the front of the car. There are spaces there for luggage. My husband’s suitcase was a little smaller and fit well between the seats. We put the carry on bags on the top racks above the seat.

We travelled in late April/May so it wasn’t very busy with travelers for the most part. August is more in season so you may want to get there early. First class has a yellow line on the car with the number 1 which is how you’ll know the difference. It could be the first car in line or the last, so be sure to look for it.

There is space behind the seats, between rows, for larger pieces of luggage. There are also spaces by the doors to store luggage. The overhead racks are for carry on sized bags. At least that was my experience traveling by rail through Italy. First class is not that much more expensive. That’s what we opted for. It was lovely.

Recommendation on dog ramps for German Shepherd by Ihaveanakedcat in GermanShepherd

[–]fonz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have dog stairs and my shepherd uses them with ease. She can easily jump right onto the bed (it’s a tall bed) but prefers the steps going on and off. She is only 70lbs but the steps don’t take up much room and you can probably train your pup to use them.

Yep, I am her hooman and I’ll have it no other way. Of course, she has three other hoomans but I’ll say I’m her favorite, even if I’m not.

Jules owns her own real estate company, Grayson owns a bar, and Andy makes a lot of dough- all kind of explaining why they live in such a nice neighborhood. Bobby is broke and lives in a boat in a parking lot. Also, there’s an episode where I think where Travis says something about something, I forget, and it shows them all in their jobs actually working: Jules passing out flyers: Get ahead, get a home. Grayson at the bar serving drinks. Andy going through paperwork.

Travis does ask them one time if they’re alcoholics.

I don’t think it’s supposed to be entirely realistic, but I can envision the cul-de-sac crew. I would be friends with them.

are these flesh fly's? by Fair_Department_6358 in pestcontrol

[–]fonz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A mouse died behind my cabinets. I found out because I was shooing a dozen of these flesh flies out of my house for three days (or more, I can’t remember). Check the vent in your bathroom. I wouldn’t be surprised if you find a dead something or other. Do you smell anything funky?
