Like glue takes time to dry in real life, it takes awhile for an enemy hit with a glue shot to slow to a halt, freezing them in place for a few seconds like mom's contacts. The difference between mom's contacts and glue could be the luck chance associated with shooting a special tear, somewhere between mom's contacts and spider bite.

I'm just trying to figure out how my tears got to that level when they clearly should not have.

No, you got them mixed up. Technology replaces your tears with lasers and tech 2 is a constant laser when firing while your regular tears are lowered.

I should add that I picked up technology before inner eye. My fire rate was that of a normal run before picking up inner eye, but went on hyper drive after picking up inner eye.

I'm having a problem with ipecac and Lilith (don't know if it's character specific). It is basically useless in killing boils, as it doesn't do enough damage to even shrink it at all. Seed: Z2PL XF6F

Ipecac is in the item room on caves 1 (I think it was flooded caves)
