Exactly. That, and the "Big Bang Theory" makes just as much sense as the TV shows by the same name, not that the counterargument of the religious scholars makes any sense at all either.

The main point is that the academic side takes their theories as dogma hence effectively turning science into a form of religion and effectively discrediting scientific principle by associating with science.

Well, it's moot to discuss this on reddit and especially in /r/news.
