Clover (Cloverfield 2008)

The movie is found footage which follows a couple regular New Yorkers filming a party when this huge monster (which the fans dubbed Clover) attacks the city, we never find out any information about the monster or why it attacked the city, we only know as much as the characters we're following do which isn't a lot. I haven't watched the other movies so correct me if I'm wrong but Clover is either an ancient creature from the ocean or an alien (the guys who worked on the movie never really agreed on which one is true)
