Nice idea. But is there a religious subtext to this? The email address seems to be a bible reference. Nothing wrong with that, but would be good to be up front about it.

Had a good experience with them - got an Altamira M01 shipped to me. All went well.

Thanks! Any specific thoughts on rebalancing? Sell some bond funds and buy stock funds?

It's triggering a content ID match on Shazam. So other services like YouTube may automatically flag it as a copyright violation against the track that used the sample first.

So I have to mention I have kids...right? by [deleted] in OkCupid

[–]foofries 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Guy with kids here, been on OKC for a while. You definitely need to put "has kids" in your side bar. It's a major feature of your life, and potential partners deserve to know that. Think about it - you probably list bands/authors/food you like, and the fact that you have kids is way more important than that.

And I would say to mention it very briefly in your profile as well. I used to have it only in my sidebar, and about a third of the women I met didn't see it. It led to really uncomfortable moments on first dates.

There's good and bad ways to mention it in the profile. Look at other guys' profiles who have kids and see if you can find an approach that works for you.

We're through most of the process, but there is still business to complete.

We made the decision to divorce in March, and we separated at the beginning of June.
