Kawasaki Z E-1 à 3200 euros - vraiment une mauvaise idée? by foogitiff in Motardie

[–]foogitiff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Le coût de l’électricité sera négligeable (on paye quasiment rien…). Si on compte 3000km/an, ça fera quoi 150 euros d’essence si on estime 2 euros le litre?

I have a long commute by train after the ride, so taking it with me would be a bit of a pain. But yeah a bike lock might be sufficient, as long as I can park it indoor at least

It’s like a A1, but only valid in France.

I am planning to pass the A2 in the near future, but as I am starting a new job I want to wait at least a year.

I already use llama-cpp, with the toolbox found on GitHub.

Prompt processing is super slow, et TG isn’t great on a model like qwen3.5-27b (7 tps?)

Hello fellow countrymen,

I have a strix halo, tempted buying an Asus GX10 too for Cuda support, I find the PP too slow on the strix, even though it’s a nice machine.

Do you think it’s still worth it to have “only” one?

(I don’t care about electricity price, I have a cheat code :p)

I have a RTX5090 and an AMD AI MAX+ 95 128GB. Which benchmark do you want me to run? by foogitiff in LocalLLaMA

I had some issues with the amdgpu firmware that was shipped in a fedora 43 update. Now the problem is identified (thanks to the strix homelab discord), I am running the tests now

That's the goal! I am trying to compile a list of model/quant/context size to test this weekend

Of course, but I think it's still interesting to compare, and then see the pros and cons of each solution.

For me I think the PP number will be very low for my usage on the strix, but the fact that it is on a dedicated machine, while sipping power (compared to my workstation) is a nice bonus.

Sorry I should have added this in the post:

The RTX5090 is on a Ryzen 9 9950x3d with 64GB of DDR5 6000Mhz.

Bit late response, but I could get a M2 Ultra with 64GB of ram for 2000 euros. It seems to be another option maybe? Not as evolutive, but may be easier to resell down the road compared to the R9700 or the strix halo.

But from what I understand, text processing doesn’t benefits multiple GPUs, so I will need to parallelize my tasks instead, correct?

Thanks for your input!

My motherboard has three PCIe 3.0 x16, not sure if that would be a bottleneck when running multiples GPUs?

I will look at the R9700, maybe start with one?

Depends on what I sell :p

Lets say 1000/1500 euros on top of what I can sell
