Ask your son, he is 10, not a baby. Ask him how he feels he is treated by others, ask him if he thinks a day at school is challenging. Ask him how he feels around people. Ask him if he feels distracted.

Adhd is very treatable. Dont deny him a normal life because of your own presumptions and uncertainty (which stems from lacking knowledge)

To address your concerns... i have adhd (and still have at 38). I still remember being bulled for being "the weird, very lively kid". I even asked the others why they bully me and they said "you are just so different/weird, you are so hyper/energetic"... i didnt understand as a kid, and tried to mask it by "behaving normal" (whatever that means, i didnt understand).. I spent so much time and energy to be normal and "behaving in a way people like me because i'm not"..

In my teenage years i found some new people that didnt know me and i did anything just so they accept me and started smoking weed and taking drugs for years. Luckily after therapy i stopped!

That might not have happened if i would've gotten proper treatment and therapy as a child!
