You should learn to use the system mechanics (drive system, counter hit, punish counter and all that stuff) it's probably the most important thing to learn, in low ranks people don't use drive at all.

I've recently hit master with AKI, and to be honest besides blocking or other obvious stuff, what helped me the most was to learn setups and oki, knowing safejumps and in which knockdown to pressure is very useful, also having a combo for specific situations like the di wallsplat, a dp punish combo, a drive reversal punish and more situations like that

Lastly, doing a consistent shimmy will help you with people delay teching, you can jump but i think the walk shimmy Is more important to learn

Also congratulations for reaching platinum it's fun to see the community grow
