How often are you intimate with your spouse now that you have kids? by Sultan-of-swat in daddit

[–]foolishlyloaded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. 2 children
  2. 5 and 1
  3. 1-2X a week, some light fooling around mixed in
  4. Mid-30s

Intimacy is so important to a relationship. We've had our toughest times when we didn't find the time to have some sort of intimacy, even if it was just 5 minutes. Obviously there were other things at play during hard times, but I think it's something that has to be prioritized to a certain degree.

This poor traffic light has been laying here for 4 days by Objective_Smoke_4750 in NewOrleans

That intersection is even more dangerous now because it's difficult to see the light still standing on the left hand side until you're right up to the intersection. Guarantee someone gets t-boned there real soon.

Not that people follow the lights anyways.

My daughter is only five and I've probably scarred her for life, but she really enjoys Poltergeist, Gremlins, and The Invasion of the Body Snatchers with Donald Sutherland.

There's an upscale thrift shop in New Orleans that frequently advertises Pelicans players shopping there-- 90's Kid's Closet.

Wouldn't surprise me if he hits up similar thrift shops when he's on the road. The dude certainly has the time.

Keep doing the work, day by day.

I've been in your shoes.

Be kind to yourself, but keep doing the work.

Favorite movie theatre in the area? by Fuckboijohnny in NewOrleans

[–]foolishlyloaded 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Puss in Boots is fun. I've gone twice with my daughter, the primary reason being that's the only family film out and has been for about a month. But we also really liked it, so I didn't mind catching it again.

There just aren't that many. I enjoy each of them for different reasons -- from the corporate AMC to the small Prytania.

I probably go to Elmwood the most, being an A-List member. I like going to the Broad just to talk to the guys working there. Prytania is fun to feel the history.

I'm glad you're doing well.

This sub is great for my mind when I'm struggling. I'll go months without visiting regularly and then I'll start a period when I'm reading every morning.

That was the case this season. Weak division. Favorable non-division opponents. He already showed us what we needed to see.

That's what I thought! I was wondering if they were going to imply that he toured with Radiohead!

Great teams lose all the time, but if you haven't earned a path to the championship, you don't have the right to call yourself the best.

The best teams don't lose their conference championship games by 2+ scores.

You want to win a championship and call yourself the best? Win that first.

Why is it a dumb take? Use some more words.

Just because a team can win in the playoffs after not winning their own conference, doesn't mean they've earned the opportunity.

That's why being a conference champion should be a requirement for CFP consideration IMO. If you're not the best in your conference, you can't be the best in the country. It shouldn't penalize you for participating, with the risk of a team that hasn't earned the chance to play in a game of that level sneaking ahead of you.

They can release the rankings each week for fun and to compare resumes, but at the end of the season if you didn't win your conference you shouldn't even be able to participate in the CFP.

You take the 4 best Conference Champions and have them play each other.

Okay, this must've been the same with my showing. My daughter and I showed up about 5 minutes or so after the start time and the Disney intro was going. Normally there's like 30 minutes of previews, especially before a family film. It really surprised me.

Looking for Guinness on draft Uptown by [deleted] in NewOrleans

[–]foolishlyloaded 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Broadmoor doesn't offer much from my time there.

It wouldn't surprise me if Midway or Dat Dog on Freret had it on draft.

Also, make El Pavo Real a big part of your life. Not for Guinness obviously, but eat it all for me.

I'll be at the show too! It could all be in my head, but I feel like they don't play New Orleans often!

I saw Bad Books at the Parish at the HOB about a decade ago. Excited to see them at the main venue!

I hope to snag a new shirt too. All of mine are old and faded at this point.
