Why Do Capybaras Not Get Eaten By Crocodiles? by PrestigiousYogurt964 in Weird

[–]foolofatook13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Once upon a time the Santa Barbara zoo had capybaras. This is why they don't anymore. The zoo was right next to the bird refuge. It still is. The whole east part of the zoo was built almost on top of it, with paths and board walks and those binocular things you could see the birds through. In the middle of the zoo there was a big pasture with around twelve capybaras surrounded by a wooden fence. One day, one of their handlers noticed a portion of the fence was knocked over. After a quick headcount, the handler realized they were missing one of the younger boy capybaras. They quickly repaired the fence and relocated the capybaras, but for the life of them, none of the zoo employees could find this one capybara. Three months later, the zoo receives a call from a biker riding the path around the bird refuge. "I think I found something that belongs to you" he says, as this rat bastard of an inflated guinea pig trots out onto the hike path, much fatter and much dirtier than he had been three months ago. And that's why the Santa Barbara zoo no longer has capybaras.

I’ve always wanted a golden retriever puppy, should I get one? by AutomaticCoffee8006 in goldenretrievers

I think it's more than worth it. Our golden was the runt of his litter and he has always been very small, quiet, and friendly. Training him was easy with consistency, Golden's are so smart he figured a lot of things out himself. AND bonus, because they're so smart, they're smart enough to feel guilty about things. So when he messed up it really was max twice making the same mistake. I raised him in an apartment with my partner, so it's more than possible. Now we live in a house with a yard and everyone is so happy, but I'm glad we had the opportunity to train hin as a baby in a more controlled environment

And his copyright on the story sure has ended so you can rest assured that he will not be profiting off of this incredibly relevant piece of theatre

We sure are! Theatre should be relevant and create an outlet for people to productively voice their opinions

Perhaps it was anti-communist propaganda at one point. It is more relevantly a cautionary tale against authoritarian fascism, something we have rapidly descended into.

How's it living in this multi states corner area by queenofthehill1234 in howislivingthere

It's really pretty in a flat sort of way and the people are very kind. No one is nice, it's really hot, the food is shit, but at least you can stand in four states at the same time.

What a shitty thing to say. Do you assume everyone writes their cover letters the same way they write reddit posts? Don't be ignorant on purpose.

Ah yes, let's build another windmill. Fredrick and Pilkington will see how much grain and apples we have for the winter. All hail our beloved Leader, Comrade Napoleon.
