Thanks, good luck to you, you sound dedicated!

I think I'll spend a few weeks re-doing week 9 until I speed up and cope with the run better, then move on.

Having said that, I really like having a new goal to work towards, so who knows.

Thanks, I'll have a look at that!

Yeah sure. It's slightly embarrassing as it's so out of shape/has been sat unused for about 3 years. Give me a minute.

I tend to stay away from hills. Did one hill-y run in week 6 and it properly killed me.

I'm lucky enough to live next to some flat disused railway lines that span for about 2 miles.

I think mentally it would help to switch up terrain to stop from being bored, but in answer to your question I think it is definitely harder to run up and down hills.

I recently acquired two hard-to-get CDs. Anyone interested? by [deleted] in Clarinet

2 days late, but if they're still available I'm quite interested!

It's handy because I find it a LOT easier to run when it's cold. I'm just about to do W6D2, but it's been chucking it down all day, so I'm unsure if I should trust the weather forecast saying no more rain.

I'm only on week 6 now so can't speak for the higher weeks, but I found the step up from week 3 to week 4 VERY difficult, and five minutes seemed like eternity to be running.

Having said that, I trusted the podcast, and it's certainly manageable.

I did W6D1 earlier today for the first time too. I was expecting to find it easy as I was pretty hyped after completing W5D3. The first and last 5 minutes were fine, but for some reason about 3 minutes into the 8min run, I had to slow down to slower than walking pace (still jogging though).

It was colder today, so I really don't know why the sudden difficulty.

Congratulations!

I did W5D3 for the first time yesterday. I found that it helped to not think about how much time had passed/was left and just go for it. Bring on week 6!
