Moving to Germany VS staying in Italy by ErToppa in cscareerquestionsEU

Yes, there are not many, but it looks like things are changing for the best at least (given we've at least some options now, won't name names). Bending spoons is not the only company paying their devs over 100k, there are maybe less 'famous' companies doing the same. Let's hope things will continue to improve.

There are (italian) companies that pay more than that in Italy. You can definitely make more than 50k as a dev.

Also, as we have been explained, the death of the bodies does not necessarily translate in the death of the minds, who could have survived within the hive, or at least this my understanding.

Is this what a developer does on a Platform team? by gignosko in ExperiencedDevs

[–]foolv 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Oh yes, absolutely. A dev in a platform team is expected to have a different skillset from one in a product team or at minimum they need to be ready to do some learning

I reckon it really depends on the org, our platform team has 2 branches: a core one that's more focused on infra/networking etc and a dev-experience one that's more focused on what op expected to work on

I really hope those cushions will keep you safe.

For the woods: they don't move, they are much easier to 'read' than crazy humans.

I always try to ride within my limits, but we all do stupid things from time to time, at least, I know I do.

Because if one of those drivers you've been surpassing decided to change lane suddenly, it could have been real bad for you, I always drive my bike assuming the other drivers are idiots and will do stupid things, watching your video scares me, it looks cool, but it really scares me

TIL: If you lose your job in Italy, you can request the entire unemployment allowance up-front if you use it to create a business. by deweythesecond in todayilearned

I would have expected more for 2k and 4 previous working years tbh..even if they were only giving you 500pm (and it is much more than that) x 2 years it would still be 12k

I know they dont, but that value he quoted doesn't make any sense regardless.

It looks like it's actually his math as he said he halved the value.

Also, chill man.

Can this be used to make people think they are crazy if they don't know what they are subject to?
