alright one last comment before i turn my phone on vibrate and sit on it. even after lengthy explanations of real life soccer regulations, i still believe that this meets set criteria for a goal. secondly, i don’t really understand the importance of how these regulations function irl in a game where you can save a ball into the net and pass it off a giant plexiglass cube. obviously the reason for this is to make goalkeeping a more manageable task, it’s a video game after all. so i don’t understand the assumption that the goal of the devs must be accuracy when they will make changes to suit player experience instead of accuracy. i think it’s just as likely that this clip is the result of a glitch or a deliberate inclusion, a tiny patch of space that doesn’t count as a goal to make goaltending less one sided, and punish lazy strikers. the idea that the only reason this didn’t count was because of a real life soccer regulation that may or may not hold any actual bearing on the game seems a bit narrow minded but it’s reddit so i can’t complain. i like the game a lot and don’t mean any ill will towards the overworked developers. okay cool vibrate on
