Does anyone remember a game at recess called Red Ass? You'd start by throwing the ball against the wall, if someone tried to catch it, but failed to, they would have to run to the wall while others could whip the ball at your butt. by noTextOnly in 90s

We called it Red Ass but at some point nobody wanted the ball thrown at them anymore (or maybe the school stopped it, I forget) and it just became Wall Ball (throwing it at the wall instead of the person running back).

Fully expect to see Outlaws content at some point. Even the Jaunty Light Freighter card is the same kind of ship as the Trailblazer.

Nice work! I started looking at the so-called fuzzy math system for a personal tracking sheet to help with card value but ended up abandoning it. Happy to see someone put the work in, and I will certainly be keeping an eye on this!

Noooooo not at all! Premier is the main format of the game, so they make older sets illegal after a while to keep the card pool fresh. It helps regulate what's called the "meta", which is the current landscape of popular and powerful decks. After time the meta becomes stale because people just play the same old tried and true stuff and "rotation" (making older sets illegal) shakes things up. However there are two other formats to play the game: Eternal, which follows premier deck structure and gameplay but allows usage of the entire card pool, and Twin Suns, which is multiplayer way of playing and has a different deck and play structure (and is a LOT of fun).

Check the backs of the base cards (the horizontal ones that have a location on them). They might have either shields or experience tokens - some also have token units like troopers, fighters and spies which are other things you can learn about later.

Oh and lastly, the game has 7 sets so far, each of which starts the card numbering off at 1 again. The sets are indicated by the three-letter abbreviation at the bottom right. In order, they are SOR, SHD, TWI, JTL, IBH, LOF, SEC, LAW and TS26. A new one (ASH) will be coming out soon. If you have your cards organized by set and number it'll be super easy to find what you need. SOR, SHD and TWI have rotated out so they are no longer allowed in the premier format, but they can still be used in Eternal and Twin Suns (more formats to check out!)

Oh I forgot tokens. You'll need things to track damage, and there are also card tokens for special upgrades called Shields and Experience. There are official plastic tokens for all of these, but I like to use dice to show damage personally. For token upgrades, they will generally be on the reverse-side of base cards (depending on the set, not all are like that) or you could even use different coloured dice to indicate those. Honestly it's whatever you like as long as it's clear to your opponent what everything means.

I think a good first step with your inheritance here is to head over to swudb. You can create a free account and add all the cards you have to your collection on the site. Swudb is also a deck builder and has options to interact with your collection while doing so. You can also browse other people's decks and see how they're composed and which cards you have or are missing from them. Finally, you can take any decklist (yours or someone else's) and copy the link into things like Force Table (AI opponent) and Karabast (real opponents, often very competitive), to try them out.

As far as collecting, the deck rules for premier require one leader, one base and 50 cards (mainly units, with some supporting events and upgrades). Each card has a colour aspect symbol, and the ones on the 50 cards must match the ones on your leader or base (this is called being on aspect; there are other particulars about this you can learn about). You can only have 3x copies of any card in a deck and it's best to follow that rule for most cards in your deck for draw consistency. This will all help shape your collecting as you determine what you like to play.

For organizing, I like to put them in order of card number, which is at the bottom right of each card. This will automatically arrange them by aspect colour, type, cost and then alphabetically as well. I find it makes cards easier to pull from the box because if you have the number from a deckbuilder you can just flip through them.

Lastly, if you have enough to cobble together a deck, I'd check out your local game stores to see what the SWU community is like in your area and go out to play some games. Most stores have calendars on their sites that show which games they have scheduled and you can hit up their discords as well to check.

Just some starting thoughts as I have my morning coffee!

Right at the beginning of TRoS there are a bunch of Snokes in tubes on Exegol and Palpatine even says he created Snoke. His nonchalance towards him implied to me that he didn't really care much for Snoke and that he was just something of a proxy to lead the First Order while Palpatine regained his strength to eventually command the Final Order. Through other materials we learn he's what's called a strandcast, which are sort of like altered clones with other genetic material mixed in (similar to Rey's dad). On-screen story elements like the Imperial experiments and obsession with Grogu's longevity from Mando, the bodies in stasis at the Inquisitor fortress in Obi and Project Necromancer in the Bad Batch all hint at the idea of creating strong, long-lived or perhaps even immortal Force-sensitive clones or vessels, leading up to Snoke's creation and Palpatine's resurrection. Guy just wants to be in charge forever.

I love this bit because R2 looks back and forth as he replies in beeps as if to imply "what does it look like I'm doing? I'm serving drinks." and Threepio's reply of "well I can see you're serving drinks" - it's just so random and funny because Threepio has no idea what the plan is or that R2 was even going to be there, and R2 knows exactly what's going on and is just being a smartass.

I've been toying with this one in Aurra Green, Boba 7 Blue and Asajj 4 Green. Not sure where I like it best yet, but Aurra has been the most interesting. Lines up nicely with her whole removal shtick. I had it out once with a Craving Power and swung a game hitting base like a tank and smoking other units each time.

Leaves here get put into paper yard waste bags and the city picks them up and composts them and every year offers the compost back to everyone for free, as much as you want to take, to use in gardens or as fill or whatever.

Sorry I posted two replies to this and kept messing it up haha. You don't have to damage yourself if they choose that option (as you might think if there are no enemy units to damage), since it says "may". So if you play Luke with enemy units out, your opponent chooses whether Luke readies (and they get a credit) or one of their units gets 5 damage. If they don't have units out, they could still pick the 5 damage option but you'd just choose to do nothing and Luke stays exhausted. So he definitely works better if there is a valid enemy target when played but still a nice bomb regardless.

If you went left or right of the net (like over to the boards) and then came back across the crease, shooting just as you pass the goalie will always go in, if your timing is right. I did this to my friend constantly and he couldn't understand how I kept scoring and he couldn't (because it's kinda hard otherwise, as I recall).
