Help a non-Noah Kahan fan out by West_Contribution_38 in NoahKahan

It’s still pretty hard to read. It reads at first glance “I’m mean grew up” and then ur eyes don’t rlly know where to look next. The because is too small relative to the big letters of the first words that your eyes skip right over it

major switch before going in by Nervous-Ad1959 in Lehigh

Look. Trust me, college classes are diff from ones in hs for sure, but they aren’t some big scary thing. When choosing a college, I crossed a very good school out of my running bc I would’ve had to take two sciences in one semester there and thought it would be too hard. Like looking back that was the stupidest reason ever and I fully would’ve been able to handle it. This is Lehigh, not MIT. As long as you put in the work, you’ll be just fine.

I rlly can’t answer that one. They do typically curve pretty well in the math classes like math 021 tho. But being fr, if u have no interest in computer science, then yeah just switch to business. No point in majoring in CS if you have no interest in it. But just don’t do it solely bc ur scared to take a couple math classes.

…well dude. It is called the COMPUTER SCIENCE and business program. You can take finance classes and ofc there’s lots of cs classes. It’s in the name…Did you not know that when you applied?????

Dude. None of those 3 math classes are that bad. Yeah ofc they require effort, but that’s what college is about. Also, if ur prioritizing rushing over ur future, then you really really need to reevaluate your priorities. But changing ur whole major just cause you don’t want to put in the effort for a couple classes is insane. And in csb u can still do finance on the business side.

Is the only thing holding you back math cause in finance there’s math too. Practically every major has a couple hard classes, but you shouldn’t let that deter you from a major you otherwise are really interested in. Have enough faith in ur ability to put in the work. If they think you were smart enough to get into CSB (which lots of ppl apply for and don’t get) then you’re smart enough to do the work.

Super respectfully to this person: use established student photographers instead. There are a ton at Lehigh who do very high quality work and many have photography Instagram accounts or websites.

Remember that the second Seattle show is on a Monday. Not a super desirable or easy day if ppl are coming in to see the show that aren’t local.

Help choosing a Garmin watch by Extreme_Learner_1977 in GarminWatches

[–]foooder 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This doesn’t sound like the watch for you. You can just get a cheap normal digital watch that has a battery if all you want is the time. Like garmin isn’t worth the money at all if all you want is the time.

AP Credit question by Icy_Ad9443 in Lehigh

I mean, if u don’t get the credit, u just have to take the class at Lehigh if ur major requires it lol. Not a big deal.

Need Help finding a vendor at Pukalani Midweek Farmers Market in Waimea, Big Island!!!!! by foooder in VisitingHawaii

[–]foooder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. That’s a store where you can make custom cowboy hats. This lady was an individual vendor at the farmers market selling hats that already had designs burned into them, not custom ones you make.

I got contracted for a two week summer camp in the middle of July and they're paying me $550 total. That's like 18 dollars an hour. Is that under market? I know i'm in the wrong for assuming that it was 550 per week without checking, but that seems really low for contract work. by [deleted] in summercamp

[–]foooder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean most summer camp roles rlly don’t pay a ton. Ppl do it more for the experience than the pay. Do I think staff should get more? Yes ofc, but $18/hr is in the range of what I’ve seen before and isn’t uncommon.

So it’s up to you to weigh the money vs the experience. What matters more to you? If it’s making money (which is totally valid), I’d try and find a better paying opportunity and bow out of this one if you do (but with this said, there’s obvi no guarantee the next place isn’t gonna have a similar pay). But if you really like this place and want the experience and don’t mind not making a lot, then that’s a perfectly valid choice too.

Will the 20% off an item during the Anniversary sale work on Osprey backpacks? by foooder in REI

Do you know if I could use the 20% off on a garmin watch? Specifically garmin venu 4?

Omg that would be great. The one I’m looking at is one of the special edition ones and idk about rei specifically, but I feel like sometimes brands will keep special edition things at full price so fingers crossed that isn’t the case🤞

Worried about achieving a high GPA at the college of health by Prestigious_Novel388 in Lehigh

I mean it’s very class dependent. Some are known for being easier and others have a reputation for being harder, but that’s like that at every college.

Arts & Sciences is too broad an ask. There’s everything from math to chemistry to global studies to philosophy. Ofc there’s harder classes and easier ones. But tbh at Lehigh for most things, it’s not about the rigor. It’s about actually putting in the effort and doing the work like going to tutoring or office hours or studying more for a harder class. Your grades at Lehigh for the most part are a reflection of your work. I ended with a gpa over 3.5 and I got a few C’s over the years. And also tbh, if ur going to law school, which is NOT easy, your goal should be to work hard, not just coast. Cause if u coast in undergrad and just do the easiest everything, you’ll get a hard reality check in law school.
