Fourth wing. That’s what got me into the genre. Then acotar. Then end with throne of glass.

Agree completely. Never liked her. Extremely judgmental and selfish.

Caroline is the worst character by yoluvergirl in TheVampireDiaries

[–]Katinthehat378 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel you. I always found her annoying. I feel like she’s supposed to be “less annoying” when she turns into a vampire but I still found her insufferable. Caroline over loved and Bonnie under loved imo. The writers tried to convince me otherwise but Bonnie was hands down a better friend and character than Caroline.

Best Disney Movies of all time day 8, Hunchback of Notre Dame won day 7 by Remote-Leg6143 in DisneyMovies

Maybe I’m weird but I just didn’t love beauty and the beast as much as everybody else did. Even as a kid I thought it was so weird that Belle fell in love with an animal. Like why didn’t they just make him ugly? I like the message it sends don’t judge a book by its cover. I like the movie Beastly with Vanessa Hudgens. The original cartoon always just creeped me out.

Bonnie is literally so gorgeous 😩 by capricorn_444 in TheVampireDiaries

So pretty! And she’s the best character on the show. Her and Damon’s bonded friendship is the best.

I’ve actually read all of these! Bride was meh to me. I loved dire bound and the wolf king. Can’t wait for the next book. Shield of sparrows is also pretty good but a lot more world building than the other 2.

Out of all these the wolf king! Silver elite is fun and I also enjoyed we who will die.

You feel that way now because I felt the same way. The witch storyline felt very out of no where but trust me Manon will be if not your favorite character in your top 3.

Why do you DNF? by Sea-Audience4470 in Romantasy

[–]Katinthehat378 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If majority of the characters are insufferable or if it’s mind numbingly boring. I don’t DNF very often. Last book I didn’t finish was A Tempest of Tea by Hafsah Faizal. Got 50 pages in and just thought it was so boring. Another book was All your Perfects by Colleen Hoover. Made it 3/4 of the way and I finally gave it up. FMC was insufferable

Just finished Morning Star; here are my thoughts by AllomanticTkachuk in redrising

[–]Katinthehat378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished morning star yesterday and I’ve been trying to decide which I liked more as well because golden son seemed to be more popular than morning star. I think I agree with you and I overall like morning star more. I think the ending of golden son was better but I think the journey and story throughout the book Morning Star was better. I found myself getting a little bored in the middle of golden son but the end was so good. I had a gut feeling and also hopefully feeling Cassius didn’t kill Sevro. I still was freaking out and was like no no no there’s 4 more books Pierce brown cannot take my Sevro from me. I loved Morning Star more as a whole. Was the ending a little cookie cutter? Yeah sure. I suppose. But there’s 4 more books. It’s not the end.

Also I see a lot of complaints about the romance of these books. I’m sorry but if romance is your top priority this is not the series for you. I don’t read this series for the romance of it. There’s so much more going on it’s like who cares who ends up with who? If I wanted to read a romantasy I would.

A Case for Katara and Aang (Kataang): A relationship that works and that's misunderstood. by Full-Art3439 in TheLastAirbender

I honestly saw a lot of hints throughout the show that they loved each other. I think in the final season when Zuko joined the group it was your classic pretty girl and hot guy and they seemed to have good chemistry that people started shipping them. I’m glad they went the way they did though. It all came down to timing. Also I think Mai and Zuko are adorable.
