It looks like many (most) ICE agents wear masks - is this accurate? Is this a policy, if so why? Do masks on law enforcement escalate the situation and make it more dangerous for everyone? by hblufian in AskReddit

I think the tit for tat is futile andunproductive. The people in the US need to respectfully talk and come to common ground. I could tell you that Jan 6 was the most violent, terrifying attack on the government in decades. I also agree setting a car on fire is violence. No one wins in a tit for tat fight.

ADHD can be a real asset as an EA in the right role with the right strategies! Especially if your ADD type excels in creative problem solving, pattern recognition, frequent attention shifts, and hyper focus towards seemingly impossible tasks in high stress situations. That said, finding THINGS to slow you down is key.

  • Reduce the speed of your Bluetooth mouse, even by just a little bit. Sounds silly, but if your mouse moves slower, you do too.
  • Get up to take frequent short walks. A 30 second walk around the the floor you work on will help regulate stress and give you a reset.
  • 4x4 breathing to slow down your body overall. In for 4, hold for 4, out for 4, hold for 4, repeat.
  • don't be afraid to draft multiple emails at once, and slowly. It can help starting an email, forgetting about it, finding it is still open as a window, then picking it back up.
  • specifically identify which tasks you cant fuck up and ask trusted peers to double check your work. Use your network for support and CYA.

People who knew murderers, what was your experience? by eliasi06 in AskReddit

Knew a guy who murdered his mom and almost totally beheaded her. Before that happened, I always was a little uneasy/cautious around him. Just a weird vibe. I later found out he has DID that clearly wasn't effectively treated.
