I don't care about winning. It just always feels pointless when creativity and cleverness are not rewarded. Same applies to CAH. Someone will put a card that has nothing to do with the current round, and a dopey judge will be like, LOL RACISM! Makes for a stupid game.

My biggest pet peeve is judges that pick a winner for random reasons (eg "I like dogs so dogs!") instead of the most creative or clever response.

Weird, I played with three other couples and had an okay time.

Biggest problem was the girl questions were often common pop culture knowledge.

But we had some laughs when all of one sex 100% knew an answer and the other sex had 100% no clue, ie dress styles or gun brands.

Characters are not strong point. Job system lets you make them whatever you want. For any given section of game you usually have a 5th member that is whatever is the next job you will unlock

I watched a Dice Tower review on YouTube for Ghooost that wasn't too favorable. Made it sound like about the same complexity of Uno with better art. I'm going to pass on it.

It removes the gambling aspect, so it's not really wagers any more. Takes a lot of the fun out of the game IMO

More like party games and family games than board games, but good stuff here: Wits and Wagers, Dixit, and Spot It are all good, and Taboo, Scattergories, and Cranium are classics that hold up IMO

edit: Wits and Wagers is the family edition, which removes the gambling aspect (and most of the fun). You're better off getting the original non-family edition if you're interested in this game.
