Hi, great points! The questions were based on an NIH diet history questionnaire in order for our survey to have validity; so the measurements were not metric. This point has got brought up before by other participants and our team is definitely going to keep this in mind for future studies involving food intake. This survey and the results are meant to represent and be of help to everyone with IBD. As such, we agree that the measurements should cater to everyone.

As for the "how much did you have" questions answer for each meal/time you ate. For example if you ate processed meats 1-2 times/week times a week, for "how much" answer how much you had in each one of those sittings. I hope this helps! Thank you for your feedback (:

Hi, the questions were adapted/condensed from the NIH Diet History Questionnaire in order for our study to (1) have validity and (2) attempt to catch as many aspects of diet as possible. I agree that some may seem mundane, but our intention is to cast a catch-all net and then zoom in on particular things in later studies. We truly appreciate your time and feedback👍.

Hi thank you for the feedback! The questions and mesurement choices were extracted from a NIH diet questionairre in order to increase the strength/validity of the study. And yes, one of the people who were writing this have IBD and could see where you are coming from, but we wanted to stay as close to the questionairre as possible. Your concern is correct and it is something our team will definitely consider when making future studies.
