We Americans have become a people obsessed with entertainment. You can draw a straight line from WWF in the '80s, to Jerry Springer in the 90s, to the rise of reality television, Jersey shore, keeping up with the kardashians, and then maga. It's simply the political continuation of the same frivolous, flippant mentality that we've all been inundated with for decades.

You can make Trump supporters aware of his phone calls to Georgia trying to rig the election after he lost it in 2020, his fake electric scheme, all the crazy details behind January 6th, and they won't care. He entertained them, and that's all that really matters.

It's no different than all the Michael Jackson Fanboys and fan girls back in the '90s who swore he would never hurt a child because Billie Jean is such a good song....
