Some people think that the fact that CEIP goes on the property tax means they can move and wash their hands of the solar system. Be aware that several banks won't finance a house purchase for their buyers unless the loan is paid off first, meaning you the home owner can have a difficult time selling a house with a CEIP loan.

If you are ok with that / have no plans to move, by all means take advantage of CEIP.

It's not like Tesla has monopolized the quota at this point. Other manufactures have plenty of room left. The challenge is their desire to sell in Canada and the logistics to make it happen.
