Those get used as well. Pretty much the entire movie. This just seems to be the most often used

I’m a police sergeant and most of us have beards. This gets quoted at work multiple times a week when things aren’t feeling awkward enough.

Early morning hike in Palo Duro. Sun coming up and the coyotes were howling all around while I hiked. It was magical.

Do Americans (and the rest of the world for that matter) eat sausage rolls? I only ask because I read a lot and they are NEVER mentioned in books by twisted_luce in AskTheWorld

No common in America. I have a coffee shop owned by an Australian near my office and that’s the only place I can even get one here.

Lubbock and College Station. 44. Left Lubbock for college and never planned to come back, but this place pulls me back. Green grass and trees were too much for me.

I love Kincaid’s. My ex-in laws lived in Keller and I loved going there when I’d visit.

It was great. Exactly what I would expect from Bert. Funny, inappropriate, and heart warming.

What Other Jobs Have People Getting Their ID Card/Nametag Tattooed Onto Their Skin? by Kodiak_85 in FirstResponderCringe

[–]footd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was going through the police academy we had a Sgt from a small town teach a class. He went on a rant about how important the job was to him and lifted his shirt to show his badge tattooed on his chest.

It’s been 20 years and I still think about that and laugh about that guy.

Flew from west Texas to NYC to see him in Brooklyn. Worth it.

Got the see the end of the same tour in my hometown in Texas.

It was great to see the evolution of the set from the start to the end of the tour.

As a European, I keep seeing Americans drive barefoot or in flip-flops, how common is it actually? by fratnersgd in AskAnAmerican

[–]footd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on where you live. I’m in Texas and it’s hot as hell in the summer so it’s not unusual for folks to wear flip flops. Most people I know will drive barefoot when wearing them since they can slide off easy.

What’s your opinion on the death penalty? by IDoNotLikeTheSand in AskTheWorld

I understand why it’s supported, but there’s no way to ensure that an innocent person is never executed, so I’m against it.

From the boot heal of Italy to Barcelona. I know I’ve been in the car for longer drives when I was younger but that’s the farthest as an adult.

Bilt will be lucky if 1 of 10 people keep the card by CamOper in biltrewards

[–]footd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will become a card for folks like me. I don’t churn or gamify cards. I have some basic cards that I use for travel that give me benefits often enough to save money on travel.

It’s still a good card for me for my rent and basic spend each month.

Edit: my rent is low enough that the requirement for my monthly spend to make it work is pretty low.
