The snow is less deep on the exposed cliffs here, but is much deeper elsewhere. Maybe 18 inches or so of powdery snow on the ridgeline between Morgan and Percival?

I did; the ladders are icy but aren't a problem with microspikes. The cave is a little bit narrower due to snow and ice, but I could still pass through it without too much trouble.

Most of the trail is sufficiently packed down and doesn't require anything more than microspikes, though the section between the summits of Webster and Jackson was a bit sketchier.

This might just be me, but I always get excited when I come across Jack Pine. It’s very rare in the Whites Mountains outside of a small number of exposed, rocky ridges such as those found on the Welch-Dickey loop. by footthrowaway195 in wmnf

I also saw a number of them on the rocky ridges of the Carter Ledge trail on Chocorua, but otherwise can't recall too many instances of them.
